Uttarakhand Parichay

 The name "Uttarakhand" is derived from the Sanskrit words "Uttar" which meaning is "north" and "Anchal" which meaning is "region". This state is located in the lap of the  Himalayas.


This land is the origin of several sacred rivers including Ganga and Yamuna. The capital city of Uttarakhand is Dehradun, which is the hub of education and natural beauty. There are other famous cities in the state which is Rishikesh, Haridwar, Nainital and Mussoorie. Uttarakhand is  known for its pilgrimage sites for Hindus , with different temples such as Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. People from different states come here to visit these temples every year. This state is also famous for its adventure sports like trekking, rafting, paragliding , rock climbing and bungee jumping , which attracts adventure seekers from all over the world. In short, Uttarakhand is a very special place with natural beauty, holy sites and rich culture. It is a great  destination for tourists and pilgrims alike.It is place to relax, to have a fun and to learn. So come and visit Uttarakhand.🏔🏔🌲
